Full-Service Interiors & Furnishings

A Whole-Home Transformation, Without the Construction

A remarkable home doesn’t always require moving walls. Sometimes it starts with exquisite fabrics, inspired lighting and furnishings that finally belong together. Whether you’re settling into a new address, creating a Suncoast retreat or ready for a fresh start, we develop the vision and carry it through purchasing, installation and the finishing touches. This is where we shine.

The Design Experience

How We Lead Your Project

We begin by getting to know you, your tastes and the routines that make a house yours. A spectacular interior should feel personal, comfortable and perfectly suited to the people who live there.

Does the dog own the sofa? Do grandkids fill every bedroom during the holidays? Is dinner usually at the kitchen island, or are you setting the table for twenty? We want to understand what you love, what frustrates you and what would make everyday life more wonderful.

SHOW US WHAT MOVES YOU

Bring the Pinterest board, the magazine pages, the hotel you never wanted to leave. Inspiration might start with a favorite painting or a room you’ve saved for years. Have a definite vision? We’re listening. Prefer to give us free rein? We love that, too.

FROM VISION TO REVEAL

Concept → Selections → Schematics → Pricing → Installation

We establish the overall direction first, typically aiming for approval within two to three weeks. Then we develop the layouts, furnishings, lighting, palettes and other elements within your scope.

You’ll see how the spaces relate, offer feedback at meaningful milestones and refine the plan with us. Our manufacturers, artisans and trusted resources give us an extraordinary range of possibilities to explore.

BEAUTIFUL IDEAS, THOUGHTFULLY MANAGED

Once the scope is approved, we finalize specifications and pricing. Your budget stays in view, with room to consider something fabulous. If a selection exceeds expectations or doesn’t feel worth the investment, we adjust.

Then we manage ordering, tracking, receiving, installation and styling. You can enjoy the fabrics, colors and anticipation while we coordinate the moving parts, right through to the moment you walk into your finished home.

Questions & Expectations

What exactly is full-service interior design?

We design the project as a whole, rather than simply helping you select a sofa or choose a paint color. We establish the design direction, develop the plans, make the selections, source and purchase the furnishings, and oversee implementation through installation and final styling.

Probably not, and that’s okay. If your project is smaller in scope, or you just need professional guidance to pull everything together, take a look at Designer for a Day — access to our expertise without committing to a whole-home project.

Absolutely, when it makes sense. A meaningful antique, a favorite piece of art or a family heirloom can certainly become part of the design. That said, full-service projects typically involve replacing the majority of a home’s furnishings. If you’re mainly looking to rearrange or refresh what you already own, Designer for a Day will serve you better.

As involved as you want to be. Some clients arrive with Pinterest boards and very definite opinions. Others essentially say, “You know me. Make it fabulous.” We love both. What we don’t need is for you to spend your weekends sourcing products — that’s what you’re hiring us to do.

We like to move quickly at the beginning, and aim to have your initial direction approved within the first 2–3 weeks. Schematic design then generally takes approximately 6–10 weeks, depending on the size of the home and how quickly decisions are made. A complete project can often move from design through installation in approximately 6 months to a year, though custom pieces and manufacturer lead times affect the schedule.

Design services are based on a flat fee established from the agreed-upon scope of work. Once we move into implementation, Design Oversight and Project Management are billed hourly. Furnishings specified as part of the project are purchased through Lancaster Interior Design.

Yes. Procurement is an important part of our full-service model. We maintain wholesale and stocking-dealer relationships with furniture, lighting, fabric, wallcovering, rug, cabinetry and window-treatment manufacturers. We don’t design a complete project and then hand over a shopping list — sourcing, purchasing, tracking and receiving is part of how we create and manage the finished result.

Yes. Every full-service project has a minimum investment based on its individual size and scope. A whole-home project requires a significant commitment of design time, sourcing, coordination and project management, and the appropriate investment looks different for every home. We’ll establish that with you before we begin.

Then you’re probably looking for one of our other favorite services. If we’re moving walls, substantially altering kitchens or bathrooms, pulling permits or coordinating significant construction, we’ll point you to Large-Scale Remodeling & Interior Design or New Construction Interior Design.
