Whether you need treatments throughout an entire home or have a specific window problem you’re trying to solve, we’ll determine the appropriate level of service based on the scope.
For projects that need an in-home design consultation, detailed measuring and a custom window-treatment plan, yes. We charge a consultation fee that can be applied toward your window-treatment purchase.
Window treatments can be surprisingly detailed, and a whole-home plan requires considerably more than measuring the width of a window. For straightforward product requests, such as a single shade or other simple treatment, we may be able to provide pricing without a full design consultation.
We begin by understanding your windows and what you need them to accomplish. For an in-home project, we’ll consult with you, review the space, take measurements and discuss privacy, light control, aesthetics, motorization and other goals.
From there, we develop the appropriate treatment, select materials and fabrics, and prepare pricing. Once approved, we move into final measuring, fabrication and professional installation.
It depends on the treatment. Some simpler shade and blind projects may be completed in approximately 2–3 weeks, depending on the manufacturer, product and material availability. Custom fabric treatments generally require more time, often approximately 4–6 weeks or longer depending on the fabric, workroom, complexity and scale of the project.
We’ll give you a more specific expectation once the actual treatments and materials have been selected.
Absolutely, and earlier than most people realize. Planning window treatments during design and construction lets us coordinate electrical requirements for motorization, smart-home integration, recessed pockets and tracks, moldings, ceiling conditions and other architectural details.

No. Hardwired motorization is wonderful when it can be planned during construction, particularly for whole-home automation, but today’s rechargeable and battery-powered motors make motorization possible in many existing homes without opening walls to run electrical.
