“Palm Avenue was all decorators then and most of us were friends and would use each other’s wallpaper and fabric libraries,” says Lancaster. In 1996, the designer felt that people knew her name, Lancaster, better than they identified with Humma-White Studio so she put her name out front. “But, over the years, the name has just become too long for people to remember,” says Lancaster, “so this year I dropped Humma-White and simplified it to Lancaster Interior Design.”
In 2003, another designer joined the firm when Bonnie’s daughter Keffie Lancaster graduated from college and became a design associate at Lancaster Interior Design.
