Bonnie Lancaster, ASID, was a visionary interior designer and founder of Lancaster Interior Design. After her passing in February of 2020, the company was handed down to her daughter, Keffie, who started with Lancaster Interior Design in 2003. She left her imprint in the vision for growing the Sarasota interior design business into one of the top interior design studios in not only Sarasota, but nationwide.
She earned a reputation among the country’s leading magazines, as well as a following of elite and sophisticated clientele. Her signature style captivated the design community with combinations of old-school elegance and classical modernism, giving lasting quality to her many projects. Lancaster was always been about purity of design and architecture. With a penchant for color, delicate pattern and classic antiques, the Sarasota interior designer refurbished over 500 legendary residences and commercial spaces and has completed designs around the world. Local projects include Longboat Key, Manasota Key, Casey Key, Siesta Key, Lakewood Ranch, Naples, Miami on projects from Harbor Island, Exumas to Montreal.
Bonnie helped her clients clarify their own visions, needs and goals so that their finished projects will be both functional and aesthetically pleasing to them. She was skilled in conceptualizing, executing, managing and supervising all phases of residential and commercial interior design projects, and is experienced working with architects and contractors.
