Using a color palette of wasabi green, taupe and cream in the double-volume foyer, Lancaster chose classic pieces and had the walls faux-finished and the drapery panels and area rug hand-painted. Fortunately, her daughter Keffie, who is a fine artist and a designer, volunteered her services.
“I repainted a pine table that belongs to the homeowner and I added a bit of pizzazz with rhinestones and black accents,” said Lancaster. “I call the space French Modern, and it definitely makes a big statement on a budget that was tiny.”
